Tender Stone workshop combines elements of mark making, sculpture, movement research, choreography and performance. Participants are guided through three sections; making stones, intuitive arrangement and performing stone scores. The workshop ranges from the very tactile to the deeply reflective, creating windows for intuition, embodiment and collective sculpture.
Lucy and Charlie have piloted several versions of a Tender Stones workshop ranging from: professional development at NN Contemporary, Northampton in March 2023; delivering a weeklong residency at Old Town Primary School, West Yorkshire working with 4-11 year olds in September 2023; a family/ intergenerational workshop and community adult workshop for Pembroke College, Cambridge University in September 2023 and working with Nottingham Contemporary and Cool Company (dance improvisation ensemble for people aged 55+) to deliver workshops and a durational performance from March 2024 - 25.
